My Favorite High-End Lipgloss!

Buxom Lip

Buxom (by Bare Mineral) is my absolute favorite high-end lip gloss.  It is absolutely amazing and, I think, a real must-have for every makeup addict!  These lip-glosses are really comfortable on the lips, wonderfully pigmented, and opaque.  These are "plumping" glosses, but they don't "sting".  Instead of stinging and being uncomfortable, they are minty and I really like that.  I have two varieties, lip creams and lip polishes.  Both of these varieties are glossy and beautiful.

These can be found at Bare Mineral shops as well as at Sephora.  They are priced at $19 at Sephora.  They are slightly pricey (for someone who has more drugstore makeup than high-end), but are, without-a-doubt, worth every penny.

Below are swatches of the 8 shades that I have:

1. White Russian (Lip Cream)- milky pink

 2. Berry Blast (Lip Cream)- fuchsia

3. Jessica (Lip Polish)- golden pink

4. Gina (Lip Polish)- sparkly fuchsia

5. Sugar (Lip Polish)- sparkly brown nude

6. April (Lip Polish)- sparkly baby pink

7. Leslie (Lip Polish)- golden peach

8. Katie (lip Polish)- milky peach

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you haven't tried these, I really suggest giving them a try, they are well worth it!  Maybe you will discover a new favorite lip gloss too! Have a great day!!

IPSY Bag- August

Ipsy, for anyone who doesn't know, is a beauty subscription service.  The bag comes once a month and is $10/month.  In each bag, there is typically 5 products that are sometimes full-size and sometimes a generous sample-size.  When you first sign up, there is a quiz you can take to help the stylists to make each bag more customized to the customer.

I have personally been a subscriber to Ipsy for about a year and a half and I can honestly say that I am not the least bit disappointed.  I think that getting bag once a month is an excellent way to try products that I, otherwise, may not have tried.  The price can't be beat and it is a really great idea!  I highly recommend checking it out to anyone who enjoys makeup or is interested in makeup and beauty products!

(This month's bag)

This month's bag's theme is "Glamour Academy" and here are the 5 products that I received:

1. Michael Todd Pumpkin Face Mask

This is a new thing for me.  I have never tried any Michael Todd products but have heard good things about them and I am looking forward to trying this!

2. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

I have used this primer for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it!  It is oil-free so it doesn't add oiliness at all.  It makes for a nice smooth base and I find that it blurs pores and fine lines.  This primer really is fabulous!

3.Pixie Lash Booster Mascara

This is another product that I have never used.  I am really looking forward to trying it out!

4.MICA Beauty Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in the color Bronze

I have used other MICA Beauty products that I received through Ipsy and I have enjoyed them.  I haven't used this particular product before, but I swatched it and it seems quite nice.  I look forward to using this (as an Eyeshadow).

5. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in the color 69

This is the new Urban Decay lipstick and I haven't tried any of them before.  This isn't a color that I would usually wear, but I am going to give it a try.  I think it is a really beautiful color, just a little outside of my comfort zone.  I am looking forward to trying it out, though!  When I swatched this lipstick, it was nice and pigmented, opaque, and smooth!

All-in-all, this month's bag was a hit!  I really think I am going to enjoy using all of these products!  My plan is to use these products for the next month and when I receive my next bag, I will post about what's in it and do a mini review of these products!

I hope you enjoyed this and hopefully you will subscribe to Ipsy as well.  If you are interested, you can click the link below to sign up!

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss Review

In general, I am a big fan of Revlon lip products!  The colorburst glosses are no exception!  These lip-glosses are wonderful!  They are not sticky at all, so if stickiness is something you don't like, these will be great for you!  I find that even though there is no stickiness, I find that it still has good wear-time!  The pigmentation and opacity is awesome and I think they just look nice on the lips.  These glosses are comfortable and smooth to wear and, in my opinion, would be a great addition to any makeup collection!

The price of these, at Ulta, are $7.49.  That is possibly a little high for a lip-gloss, but Ulta has them buy 1 get 1 50% a lot of the time so that helps!

There is also a nice selection of colors available.  There are a total of 15 colors available and as of right now I only have 2, but I am absolutely going to be purchasing more!

Below are swatches of the two colors I have and at the end of this post I have the names of all 15 available colors listed!

SWATCHES

Bellini- beautiful light peach color; looks beautiful on its own or over any lipstick

Rose Pearl- really pretty deep rosy pink color; looks amazing all by itself, but can be layered as well

Other available colors: Sunbaked, Sizzle, Crystal Water, Bordeaux, Bronze Shimmer, Crystal Lilac, Fire, Hot Pink, Orchid, Peony, Pink Ice, Strawberry, Sunset Peach

I hope you enjoyed this review and found it helpful!  Have a great day!!

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss Review and Swatches

NYX Cosmetics makes a lot of really good product!  My absolute favorite products by them are the NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses and the Butter Glosses (Butter Gloss Review ).  The Mega Shine glosses are beautiful products.  They are very, very pigmented, opaque, and smooth.  They are slightly sticky, which I really like because I find that it helps with the staying power.  They also have a smell to them, but it is a nice smell, almost cherry scented. The glosses have a doe-foot applicator which I think is awesome and makes it easy to apply!  The price point of them is great for what you are getting.  They are priced at $4.99 at Ulta and they can be found at Ulta and also at Nyxcosmetics.com .

These are the 10 Mega Shine glosses that I have!
Dolly Pink (left) and Sugar Pie (right)

Perfect (left) and Beige Pearl (right)

I hope you enjoyed this review and maybe you can find a new lip gloss to love!  Have a great day!
